AVON Product Review: Digital Weather Stations.

Title: AVON Product Review: Digital Weather Stations.

I love having a digital weather station, especially on cold days like today. It's fun getting up in the morning hitting the memory button and seeing the low for the night. Despite the fact it makes me shiver it's still fun.

Aside from the fun of tracking temps and humidity levels, I think digital weather stations that track outdoor temps should be in every household that still has little kids going to school. It ends guessing how to dress your little ones in the morning. Sure you can open the door and see how it feels but knowing actual temp can change everything.

There's also the benefit of knowing the humidity levels indoor and out. How? For some women, like my mom, it let's you know how much hairspray you need to keep it from falling flat.

For those of us with asthma, it tells us what the odds are of us having an asthma attack outside.

If you're a runner, humidity levels let you know whether right now is a good time to run. The temp may be low, but humidity levels can really take their toll on a run. In fact, runners have been known to be hospitalised and even die because they didn't pay attention to the humidity.

You can't always go by feeling because feeling isn't accurate.

Indoor humidity levels determine the growth of mold and mildew in the house. That's another reason people with asthma and allergies need to know the indoor humidity levels - mold and mildew are bad for your health and exacerbate the problem. By the way, it doesn't matter whether you have allergies and asthma or not - mold and mildew will make you sick.

Enough reasons why you need to buy a weather station. Weather stations come in a wide variety of price ranges. Each weather station has it's own unique features. AVON offers you the essentials at a terrific price: $14.99.

It monitors temperature and humidity levels indoor and out. Has an alarm clock, calendar and a moon phase calendar. You can mount it on a wall or use the base stand for on your desk. The size is: 7.25" H x 3.25" W. The sensor cord is 6'3" long.

Anyway, talk about a terrific gift! Tracking the weather is not only a fun hobby and a great way to teach your kids about the way the seasons change, but it can also help you take care of your families health.

We purchased one of these for my daughter, and she lost the instruction sheet. I cannot find out who makes these or how to program it all I can do is set the clock and get the inside temp. Could you give me info that would help?
