Beauty Bonus! Get it while it's hot!

Wanted to give you all a heads up on the latest super special at AVON! This 7 piece beauty blockbuster is worth $100 and you can get it for a very limited time for only $16.99.

Yes, there is a catch. You have to buy $10 worth of select beauty products to get the $16.99 deal, but when you think of the savings, that's pocket change. Another bigger with the deal -
FREE SHIPPING! That's my favourite word.

[Seriously, I hate buying like a $8.00 product and then pay $7.50 for shipping or something. Although AVON charges something under $4.00 for shipping, or something like that.]

So, check out what all the goody back has, then head over to AVON and pick it up before they run out.

[That's not a sales gimmick. They really do run out. Trust me on that one. There's a number of products I've sadly missed out on, even as an AVON rep, because I didn't jump the gun fast enough. Yes, even us AVON reps lose out now and then. : ) ]

Here's what you get!

Sleek beauty bag
, PLUS 6 full-size essentials!

  • Stylish Black Nylon Bag
Zip close. Nylon with faux patent leather trim. 9" L x 6 1/4" H x 5" D. A $24.50 value. (very nice)

  • Astonishing Lengths Mascara in Black
Lengthens lashes up to 65% for an incredible look of long, sweeping lashes. Resists clumping and leaves lashes separated and defined. All Avon mascaras are hypoallergenic and opthalmologist-tested. .25 oz. net wt. A $7.50 value.

  • GLAZEWEAR Lip Gloss in Ice Pink
Feels lighter than ever. Always comfy, never sticky. .15 oz. net wt. A $6.00 value.

  • ANEW REJUVENATE Flash Facial Revitalizing Concentrate
Revitalizing concentrate maximizes your anti-aging benefits. Instantly skin feels cooled, looks dramatically revitalized. Texture, tone & the look of pores are visibly improved; visibly blurs imperfections. 1 fl. oz. A $40.00 value.

  • NATURALS Pomegranate & Mango Body Spray
A sparkling blend of lush pomegranate and juicy mango to delight the senses and refresh the body and soul. Sparkling fruity scent delights and invigorates. 8.4 fl. oz. A $9.00 value. (smells awesome)

  • NATURALS Pomegranate & Mango Shower Gel
Fresh, fruity lather cleans and conditions. 5 fl. oz. A $6.00 value.

  • NATURALS Pomegranate & Mango Body Lotion
Deliciously nourishing. Soaks in quickly; moisturizes for 24 hours. Leaves a subtle scent. 8.4 fl. oz. A $7.00 value.

Available in limited quantities only.

[I proudly say that as an AVON representative, I do make small percentage off each order. If you'd like to become an AVON representative and earn extra money, please email me at wrinkleworld@gmail.com .]

Holiday Fat loss Tip

Welcome to the season-of-eating! Can't ya just feel that waste line expanding even as you read about it? It could just be me because I just downed a couple slices of homemade soy burger veggie pizza. It was delicious.

Anyway, here's some very, very simple tips to help you avoid the big weight gain of the holidays!

1. Watch what you drink. Sometimes our biggest source of calories comes from what we drink.
Drink the ol' eggnog (who can resist), but watch how much.

Try flavoured teas like Bigelow Pumpkin Spice, Celestial Seasoning, or Lipton teas. Use a little local honey to sweeten it instead of sugar.

2. Eat until you're comfortable, nothing more or less.

3. Take a 10 leisurely walk after you eat.

4. Cut back on your carbs. A sure fire way for me to put on the pounds is to carbo load. Focus more on proteins and veggies and be careful how much pumpkin roll, pies and other desserts you eat. Enjoy, but don't overdo it.

Another thought on that. I have a nasty habit on Shabbos of saying, "Yea! I get to eat today and not worry about how much." Problem is - it's hard to behave the next day...and the day after that....and the day after that. Get the feeling I love food?

5. Avoid carbonated beverages. They're chock-a-block full of sugar. Ok. I hear you. The punch is delicious. So, have some! Just not 8 glasses full. Stick to one or two.

Now what about that pic in the upper right corner. That doesn't look one bit like a turkey to fit the season of eating. I know. I didn't want to tempt you. So, I posted the Curves Hot and Cold Combo: Portion Control. It fits the season of portion control. It's also a perfect little kit to take to work or school with you, because it's compact and yet helps you stay on target and not over-eat. It also makes a terrific gift!

Also, as a special treat - you can pick up
"The 5 Secrets to Burning Stubborn Female Fat and Boosting Metabolism." for FREE! You get a terrific workout program and there's photographs that show how each move is done! Enjoy!

Teapots for One!

My baby has arrived! Um...not the biped kind, but my little Cozy Tea for One. I love it! In fact, today has been so crappy that it's completely brightened my day.

How crappy has it been? I awoke to Jeff the Cat peeing on my nylon cooler, Kitty puking milk all over her kittens playroom and her four kittens wondering how it tastes and if they can play in it, and from there on - it was all downhill.

Anyway, a short bit ago my AVON order came, which I forgot was coming, and inside was my Cozy Tea for One! It's sitting to my right, keeping my green tea with honey and milk nice and hot.

I took it with me when I delivered mom's order. She was surprised it's as big as it is. She thought it looked much smaller in the brochure, of course the one in the brochure is only a little over an inch tall. In real life it's much bigger. So for those of you who might be thinking the same thing - the water pot holds 21 fl oz. The cup holds 8 oz. It's also microwave and dishwasher safe.

I think this would make a great gift for any tea lover, and while you're at it, why not buy one for your desk at work and let your co-workers place bets on whether or not you'll manage to knock it over and ruin your work. Insist on getting a percentage of the winning bid. You can't lose!

Cool Halloween Decorations! Magic Cat!

A Halloween treat for cat lovers from AVON! Magic Cat's head moves back and forth, his tail goes up and down, his eyes light up to music and the pumpkin lights up! Your kids will love it and your cat will be totally annoyed that Magic Cat is getting all the attention.

BTW, Magic Cat isn't a toy. It's a decoration and it only costs $29.99! Check it out at my AVON store.

Halloween Pet Safety Tip #1

Unlike their owners, cats and dogs don’t always enjoy the fun spirit of Halloween. While we humans tend to get excited and go romping out into the neighborhood, frolicking through fallen leaves, ringing doorbells and bringing home the rewards of our labor in the form of sweet treats, many of our animal companions find this time quite stressful. Your pet doesn't realize the costumes and sounds are make-believe and the people behind those getups are just that … people. You may find that your animal will panic when you answer the door for trick-or-treaters or when you dress up in your Halloween costume.

If you’re hosting a party in your home or invite trick-or-treaters to your door, one of the best ways to keep Snuggles or Fido (and those who are visiting) safe is to remove her/him from the situation completely. You can kennel your animal somewhere else for the night or put them in a room that’s off limits to guests. If your cat or dog is normally skittish around people, it’s best to keep them away from all the commotion on Halloween.

Also, if you have a doorbell, it might be best to cover it for the night to keep Fido from barking each time a trick-or-treater comes to your door.

Check back tomorrow for another Halloween Safety Tip for your pet!

AVON Product Review: AVON Solutions Hydrofirming Eye Cream

AVON Product Review: AVON Solutions Hydrofirming Eye Cream

I've finally found something that's working on my dry eyes! My eyes tend to be really dry under my eyes and around to the corners. Needless to say, I have lovely crows feet.

So, on this last campaign (C-1) with the buy one Solutions product get a second one for $1.99 I bought another Nurtura Replenishing Cream and the Hydrofirming eye cream. It was worth the $1.99 risk. :]

I noticed a significant difference by day 2, both in firmness and moisture. AVON claims it "super moisturises" and it does. The moisturising reduces the appearances of lines. The cream itself feels really good. It's a soothing feeling putting it on - you'll love it!

It's listed as a night cream, but like with Nurtura, I use it in the day as well.

As for how well it does in the ratings? AVON Solutions Hydrofirming Eye Cream receives 4.4 stars outa 5, with 90% saying they would recommend it to a friend.

AVON Product Review: Nurtura Replenishing Cream

Nurtura Replenishing Cream

Just a note before you read on. Remember that every person's skin type is different and that not all creams respond the same with every one who uses them.

Having said that! On with the show! Being an AVON rep I try to test out as many AVON products that I can. Sometimes I use test guinea pigs (my regular customers) to test products for me. Today's product I tested myself.

I've avoided AVON Solutions Nurtura Replenishing Cream for one good reason - it costs a pathetic $8.00. That screams cheap and worthless to me. I like the AVON's nicer stuff, like ANEW Alternative Intensive Age Treatmentt. It costs $32. I like that number.

For night, I'll use either ANEW Retroactive Youth Extending Cream ($27) or ANEW Force Extra Triple Lifting Night Cream (a real insulting name for those of us pushing 50 - lol) at a cheaper $22.

But! AVON had a great deal on the product and I decided why not! So, the product comes, I look at the container and laugh. The container screams "CRAP!!!" It's cheap! It looks cheap! It feels cheap! It's cheap! It's CRAP!!!!

My mom came for a visit. I held it out to her and we both laughed at it.

Once all the laughter died down, I tried it on. I immediately loved the feel. It was thick and creamy and almost a satiny soft to it. Ok. I'm impressed a little.

I put it on my face. It went on soft and smooth. It didn't feel heavy, but nice and soothing. Ok! So, it passed that test, but I was certain within the next few hours my super dry skin would begin to crack and fall off as usual. The hours passed - nothing. hmm.....let's try this baby at night.

The next morning I awoke to find my skin was still soft. Not a dry spot on it. That doesn't happen with either of my ANEW products. I always wake up with dry patches. hmm....maybe AVON cheap isn't so cheap after all!

Lesson learned: Appearances don't always reflect what's on the inside.

I've been using Nurtura Replenishing Cream for several weeks now. I use it both day and night and am loving the results!

How do other customers feel about it? Out of 72 customer reviews Nurtura Replenishing Cream gets 4.8 stars outa 5!

So, go check it out for yourself! Read the reviews and give it a shot! Bet you'll end up as surprised as I did!

Make it a great day!

AVON Product Review: Digital Weather Stations.

Title: AVON Product Review: Digital Weather Stations.

I love having a digital weather station, especially on cold days like today. It's fun getting up in the morning hitting the memory button and seeing the low for the night. Despite the fact it makes me shiver it's still fun.

Aside from the fun of tracking temps and humidity levels, I think digital weather stations that track outdoor temps should be in every household that still has little kids going to school. It ends guessing how to dress your little ones in the morning. Sure you can open the door and see how it feels but knowing actual temp can change everything.

There's also the benefit of knowing the humidity levels indoor and out. How? For some women, like my mom, it let's you know how much hairspray you need to keep it from falling flat.

For those of us with asthma, it tells us what the odds are of us having an asthma attack outside.

If you're a runner, humidity levels let you know whether right now is a good time to run. The temp may be low, but humidity levels can really take their toll on a run. In fact, runners have been known to be hospitalised and even die because they didn't pay attention to the humidity.

You can't always go by feeling because feeling isn't accurate.

Indoor humidity levels determine the growth of mold and mildew in the house. That's another reason people with asthma and allergies need to know the indoor humidity levels - mold and mildew are bad for your health and exacerbate the problem. By the way, it doesn't matter whether you have allergies and asthma or not - mold and mildew will make you sick.

Enough reasons why you need to buy a weather station. Weather stations come in a wide variety of price ranges. Each weather station has it's own unique features. AVON offers you the essentials at a terrific price: $14.99.

It monitors temperature and humidity levels indoor and out. Has an alarm clock, calendar and a moon phase calendar. You can mount it on a wall or use the base stand for on your desk. The size is: 7.25" H x 3.25" W. The sensor cord is 6'3" long.

Anyway, talk about a terrific gift! Tracking the weather is not only a fun hobby and a great way to teach your kids about the way the seasons change, but it can also help you take care of your families health.

FAMILY FUN TIP:

Check out the Weather Channel for Kids! It's a cool interactive site with a special guide for parents with links to activities you can do with your kids!

AVON Product Review! MT Restorative Rescue Balm

Moisture Therapy Restorative Rescue Balm

My mom is the basis for this review. She has a tough time with dry hands (naturally I'd inherit that trait) and comes over frequently to see what I have in my AVON box.

The last time she came I happened to have the above hand cream in stock. She fell in love with it! It's the only one of the AVON hand lotions she's used so far that has helped her 74 year old sierra desert hands and she's tried about everything AVON has.

Since she liked it so well, she's been telling everyone about it that comes through the door. They like it so well they get into hers and now she's run out and not happy that I don't have any extra on the shelf. As a result, I'll be ordering extras this campaign.

Aside from my mom, what do other people think about it? How about 10 out of 11 people would recommend it to a friend! It gets a 4.6 out of 5 stars! It would have gotten 5 stars, but one woman didn't like the way it smelled and another thinks the MT Intensive is better.

So there you have it! Give it a try and see what you think! Get both and do your own comparison! And don't forget to check out the other Moisture Therapy products! There's body lotions and even lip balm!

AVON's Version of Kinoki pads - My stinky review!

I was going to write a post on the AVON version of kinoki pads, but this guy has done such an excellent job on Kinoki pads themselves, that there's really no point in me writing anything.

BUT, I'll throw in my two cents worth anyway.

I field tested the AVON version of Kinoki and this is what I learned:

1. They stink like a sewer when you pull them off your feet.

2. Your feet are left sticky and stinky afterward and it's a bear to get it off.

3. They don't work. At the end of 3 days, my pads were even darker than the first. As you can see from my day 3 pic.

Sadly, these are not "scratch n' sniff " or you too could enjoy the delightful aroma of AVON's version of Kinoki pads! (evil laugh)

In summary: Don't waste your money.

Now, click here to read why these beggers don't work.

BTW, unlike the Kinoki commercials, AVON DOES NOT make the same claims. In fact, AVON makes no claims of any sort, the product is merely offered.

Make it a great day!

Skin care, the main focus is the face...

Have you ever noticed how when it comes to skin care the main focus is the face? What about the rest of our body?

I came across a post this morning that was on to the same thing. The post basically says we let the rest of our body take care of itself since "it is not seen by the world outside."

Truth is, it doesn't matter whether it's seen or not, every part of our body needs to be nourished with oils of some sort.

The post suggests nourishing it with oils at least once a week.

I've found doing it three times a week with Skin So Soft has really made an improvement in my skin. No more itching and scratching and my legs don't have that flakey cracked look anymore.

Anyway, to read more click the link below!

Blister Treatment and Prevention

Welp! I spent a lot of time tracking down links for today's article on blister treatment and prevention only to find blogger wouldn't accept my rich text doc and canceled all my links. Nasty beastie. So! Because I refuse to re-do the whole thing so blogger likes it, I turned it into a two page pdf. :]

Stinky Feet

You're at a road race. Your first. You're sweating with excitement. Just as you pull your running shoes out of the duffle bag, the handsomest guy you've ever seen stops dead in his tracks in front of you, gets a funny grin on his face and passes out.

No, he didn't faint because of your incredible good looks, your sexy smile, it was - the curse of the stinky feet.

Stinky feet may be good for clearing your sinuses on a really bad day, but it's mostly just embarrassing.

Sometimes stinky feet is associated with athletes feet and bacteria, but you don't have to have athletes feet to make your nose hairs fall out. All you need is a lot of sweat, which creates bacteria to the point your socks are damp in your shoes and waaa laaa - all your friends are gagging.

So, here's some tips to save you the embarrassment!

1. Keep your footsies clean and go barefoot when you're home. Let them babies have some air.

2. Don't wear socks to bed. My grandma did and her feet smelled like Limberger cheese.

3. Fill up a little tub of cool water with about 6 green tea tea bags and let 'em soak. Green tea helps reduce odour.

4. Put deoderant on your feet! (don't use the same stick or roll on you're using under your arms - that's disgusting.)

My personal favourite is using Foot Works Odor Neutralizing Spray. This stuff is good. It works for me anyway. There's a huge difference when I don't wear it - my cats run about the house wearing mini-gas masks.

One of my favourites after a run is Avon Foot Works Cooling Foot Lotion in Watermelon. It not only cools but watermelon smells a lot better than the alternative.

Avon has a number of excellent foot care products you should check out. They have everything from corn and callus removers to anti-fungal foot spray and the prices are excellent!

To see their entire foot care product line, go to: AVON and enter "foot works" in the search.

Coming Attractions!

Hey guys!

Hope everyone had a great day!

I was supposed to record a product review chat with my field testers in Kentucky, but that fell through when my mom asked if I needed a ride to the store for food - of which I did. So, food won out over a product review. Yeah, I know. I need to get my priorities straight.

Anyway! Di and I plan on doing the chat tomorrow sometime and if I can get Pamela to record Skype properly, I should have it posted in no time flat! :]

The next review after that one is a biggie!!! I'm doing my own take on Avon's Curves Pedometer! That's one video you won't want to miss!

Meanwhile, make it a great night and hope to see you tomorrow!
